Wrap up folks; Temperatures set to plummet from tonight
Met Eireann have given us some weather news today that will make you want to hit that snooze button tomorrow and strongly consider having a duvet day. According to the National Weather forecaster from 8pm this evening, temperature are set to drop to a very cold -4 degrees. They have also issued a status yellow warning for ice and possible snow. 
 

According to the alert “Some accumulations are likely, one to three centimetres locally, but possibly more on hills and mountains in the western half of the country.
“Some dangerous driving conditions can be expected as road temperatures are likely to be close to freezing or below.”
For the remainder of the week it is set to be cold with moderate to fresh northerly winds. By the weekend it should improve “Friday and the weekend Dry and bright in most areas with slack winds. Becoming milder by day with sunshine, but nights will stay cold with an ongoing chance of frost.”
