Mum Shares Game-Changing Teething Hack On TikTok

If your little one is teething and you feel like you've done everything to soothe it, give this hack a go.

There are no two ways about it - teething is rough. Between the unusual symptoms and overall lack of sleep for everyone involved, teething is not a fun time for most parents. However, if you feel like you've really tried everything to soothe your little one's gums, give this hack a go.

TikTok has become our go-to place for all things parenting recently. From sharing insights on how to encourage our children to tidy up as well as genius kitchen and parenting hacks, it really does have it all. Who knew it wasn't just funny sketches and viral dance routines?

This hack is no different. According to RSVP Live it comes from TikTok mum MommyAcademy who constantly shares parenting advice, insights and tips on TikTok. For her genius homemade teething rings, you simply need two things:

  1. One muffin tray
  2. Small washcloth

You simply wet the washcloth, roll it up and put it in a muffin tin so that it forms a ring shape. Then, pop it into the freezer for 15-30 minutes (no longer than this as the ring will become too cold and could cause freezer burn). Your baby's sore, irritated gums will welcome this cold, refreshing toy. Janey (aka @MommyAcademy recommends freezing a few at a time so that you always have one to hand - just make sure you thaw them slightly before use if they've been in the freezer for a long period of time!

The best part about this hack is that the washcloths can be easily washed and use again! We are sold and cannot wait to try this ourselves. Will you be giving this hack a go?
