We don't know about you but for us, breakfast time has become a little bit monotonous over the last few weeks. Every day is blending into the next (as we all keep saying) and pouring yourself the same boring breakfast every morning certainly doesn't help with that.

That's why we very nearly jumped for joy when we saw this pancake cereal trend doing the rounds. It's quick, easy and something completely different for the whole family. Serving a platter of these little pancakes with a few bowls of your favourite toppings would make a gorgeous weekend breakfast.
The trend started out on TikTok and has since gone viral. The tag #cerealpancake on TikTok has now reached 1.7 million views on the platform. To be honest, we can totally see why.
To make your own, you can use your favourite pancake recipe and simply make them into a smaller size. To achieve the mini pancake size, people have been using anything from piping bags to teaspoons to a plastic bottle with a hole in the top of it.
GlamourMagazine.co.uk used this tasty recipe from I Am A Food Blog to make theirs:
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup buttermilk (or milk)
- 1.5 tbsp whisked egg
- Oil to grease the pan

Once you've made your pancakes, you can put them into a bowl with a drizzle of maple syrup and your favourite toppings.
