Study Shows That Ireland Is Exercising More Than Ever

A study at Trinity College Dublin has revealed that almost 50% of people are exercising more than they usually do right now. Exercise has taken on a whole new meaning in our lives and for many of us it is the only link with the outside world. People are walking, running, cycling and even doing yoga in outdoor spaces. As a nation we have had to be creative with how we approach exercise and outdoor time within the radius that is allowed. The study was led by Dr Emer Barrett and Dr Cuisle Ford who both work in Trinity College's Physiotherapy Department. According to the University Times Dr Barrett spoke at a press conference about the survey findings and said that

"It is very encouraging to see that there is a strong awareness of how physical activity can positively impact mental and physical health" particularly at this time of crisis”

Hottest Day Of 2020

We have been really loving the spell of good weather that has come our way in recent weeks. It's making life easier with the kids because we can enjoy some garden time in a whole new light. Having a BBQ and a glass of wine in the garden is our new social life and we are grateful for it. According to Met Eireann today (20th May 2020) is the hottest day of 2020 so far. Temperatures will reach 20'C and won't fall below 18'C.
