Teacher Uses Lizzo To Inspire Her Students

This teacher from Pittsburg uses Lizzo to teach her students about being helpful and confident in their abilities.

We all like to think that our kids are happy and content in school - that they feel supported and inspired by the adults in their life.

In life, often lessons come from the most random situations and inspiration can be drawn from places you never would have thought of.

This week, in a video posted to Twitter yesterday by @rajmathai, this teacher has proved just that.

She uses the well-loved hit 'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo to teach her students to be a good "worker bee" by believing in themselves, helping others and working hard.

The song begins, "let's be great because we know we are great" and continues with "I just take an ELA test turns out I'm 100% that smart" (I'm not crying, you are).

The teacher clearly has a fantastic grasp on the importance of play and fun in children's lives - she is seen in the video standing on a desk and dancing along with her students.

Other heartwarming lines of the song include, "You want to have a good friend, who's committed. Help you with your homework, just a little."

It is great to see children be encouraged to work hard and believe in themselves while having a little song and dance in the process.

Other Twitter users clearly agree, with many singing the teacher's praises:

What do you think? Is this a good way to learn lessons?
