When you're stuck for something to do (and you've already baked these delicious two-ingredient cookies) then crafts are the answer. And if you have younger children at home, we think these bumblebee finger puppets from iheartcraftythings.com will be a massive hit.

Here's everything you need to know.

You will need:

  • yellow and white cardstock paper
  • 3/4-inch circle punch (or 1/2 inch for smaller fingers!)
  • googly eyes
  • white string
  • black and pink marker
  • glue

How to make cute bumblebee finger puppets.

  1. Cut out everything you need.

Firstly, cut out everything you need - cut a 2 1/2-inch circle and a 3-inch circle out of your yellow paper and two wing shapes out of your white paper.

  2. Draw black stripes on your biggest yellow circle.

To make your bee's body look more like a bee, colour in those characteristics black stripes on the biggest yellow circle.

  3. Punch in two holes at the bottom of your big circle.

Use the 3/4 inch hole punch to cut two circles at the bottom of your biggest yellow circle (this is where your fingers will go later on!).

  4. Glue your circles together.

Glue your small yellow circle to the back of your big circle, making sure to keep the two holes at the bottom.

  5. Glue on the wings!

Glue your two white wings onto the back of your bee's body.

  6. Finally, glue on the eyes and antennae.

Glue on your googly-eyes to the small circle and draw on a smile with your pink marker. Then, simply fold your piece of string in half to make a v-shape and glue it to the back of the small circle to make little antennae.

There you have it! Your very own finger puppet bumblebee. You can also make variations to this tutorial by using red and black paper to make a ladybird, or by doing an Easter Bunny version. Happy crafting!
