You Can Now Donate Your End-Of-Life Vehicle To The Dublin Fire Brigade

The Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre is calling on members of the public to donate their end-of-life vehicles to their training centre located on the Malahide Road, Marino.

Did you know you can donate your old car to Dublin Fire Brigade?

The Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre is calling on members of the public to donate their end-of-life vehicles to their training centre located on the Malahide Road, Marino.

As part of the Dublin Fire Brigade external training, the superb training centre requires scrap vehicles to assist in maintaining the highest standards of Road Traffic Collision training for both firefighters and paramedics.
Donated vehicles are used by Dublin Fire Brigade to train new recruits as well as for ongoing training of operational staff.

Vehicle design is constantly changing and new technologies are being introduced by manufacturers all the time.

Our front line force needs to train regularly to keep their skills up to date with these new developments in how to safely and efficiently extricate casualties from crashed vehicles.

In a post on their award-winning Twitter page, they said: "Do you know you can donate your end-of-life vehicle to us? They help train our recruits in RTC skills and keep our operational Firefighter/Paramedics current in skills."

End-of-life is a term used by vehicle registration where you will be provided with a certificate to confirm the car has been taken off the road and will be destroyed.

If your car is not road worthy they will even pick it up for you, saving you the hassle of organising a tow truck to have your car destroyed if it is no longer in a roadworthy condition.

So if you are the registered owner of a car or vehicle that is at the end of its life why not donate it to the Dublin Fire Brigade Training Centre?
