5 Important Things I Am Thankful For This Christmas
December is a manic month for most. In a world where Christmas has become very commercialised, it is very easy to forget it really is all about.
Christmas is not always an easy time for some. So, this December I urge you to take a moment and see what you are grateful for this festive season.
Here are mine-
Christmas time is always a time where we get together with family. We travel all across the country to be with the ones we love to celebrate family, faith, and all of the blessings we are given. Families can be tough sometimes, but let's all be a little more thankful for our families this year, no matter what family is to you.
Our health is something we need to remember to be thankful for. There are many people who may not be able to celebrate Christmas like they want to, or at all because of their health problems. We often don't think about our health until something goes wrong, so remember to be thankful for your health, your loved one's health, and for healing us when we are sick.
Friends are the ones who are there for us when we can't be with our families for the holidays. They make us laugh, share meals with us and share life together with us. Remember to be thankful for friends this holiday season and thank them for being there for you this year.
4. A Break
We all live stressful lives. It's so nice to be able to pause and take a break from everything. Don't forget to allow yourself time to recharge. With so many things going at Christmas time like travel, family, parties, presents and all the preparation, it can make things even more stressful. Make sure to take a breath, unwind and don't forget to have fun.
I love this time of year now I have children, more than ever! I love seeing which part of Christmas is their favourite and making new traditions with them! Be thankful for all of the traditions your family has, and remember to take time to build new memories and make new traditions too.
