Today Is Tetra Pak Tree Day – Here’s How You Can Be More Planet Positive

Nowadays it can be hard to know how you can do more for the environment. With so much bad news at the moment, we are all trying to do our bit to be more sustainable in our everyday lives.

Well today, Thursday the 3rd of October, is Tetra Pak Tree Day and the theme is ‘Be Planet Positive!’ Tree Day is a fantastic campaign to encourage children and adults to plant a tree and help the environment.

Tetra Pak’s Sammy the Squirrel has shared his seven-step planet positive plan, which you can see on the back of Avonmore School milk cartons or by clicking here.

Sammy says, “my top tip this year is to plant more trees!
Trees absorb carbon dioxide and release oxygen and help reduce the risk of
climate change. They also provide shelter and food for birds, animals and
insects.”

This year, as part of the fantastic campaign, Tetra Pak is giving away a free Irish native spindle, to plant on your school grounds or a pot in your classroom.
