Whether you want to buy a ready-made costume for your little one or you want to make it yourself, a small bit of effort goes a long way. Here, we’ve rounded up some of the best DIY Halloween costumes for your little one this year.

1. A Panda
If you are anyway handy with a sewing needle this will be a walk in the park. Get your baby a black baby grow and a white hat. Use some old black fabric to cut out two eyes and sew them onto the white hat. Use some old white fabric and sew a big round circle belly onto the black baby grow.

2. A Cow
Pretty much the same concept as above. Get your little one a white hat and a white long sleeve baby grow or even some white tights and a long sleeved white vest. Use some old black fabric to cut black circle shapes and sew them all over the hat and the baby grow. To add a unique touch- Use some bottle teats and sew them onto some pink fabric and onto the belly of the baby grow for some udders!!

3. A gumball machine
This one is so cute and so effective. Get a hat that fits your little one and cover it in different coloured felt balls. You can get them in any art and hobby shop! Make a little 50c sign and sew it onto their baby grow.

4. An old lady
If your little one will co-operate this idea is adorable. Get them a grey haired wig. Put them in a pretty dress with a cardigan on top and if you really want that unique twist, try to get your handle on a small Zimmer frame.

5. An aerobics instructor
This one is so easy! Put a plain hairband on your little one as a sweatband. Use over her hairline. Put them in some leggings, A long sleeved baby grow but button it over the leggings. Cut the feet out of some socks and use them as leg warmers.

6. A burrito
If you have a new-born baby this one is so easy! Swaddle your baby in a beige or brown swaddle, use a matching hat. Use a generous amount of tin foil and wrap it around their little legs so it’s almost halfway up their body. Use some green and red material and stick it into the swaddle to look like a filling and there you have your very own delicious burrito.
