12 Great Reasons Why Having Just One Child Is The Best
If you are the parent of one child, you will no doubt have been asked plenty of times when you’re having another one.

Or told that your child is missing out by not having a sibling to play with. Neither of which is anyone's business apart from the couple's.

The number of children a couple has is completely and utterly up to them, and no one should ever feel the need to question it or pass comment.

For some, the choice of having just one is that, a choice. For others, it’s a decision that was taken out of their hands.

However, for whatever reason you find yourself in a family of three (or two if you’re going it alone), there are so many positives to having one child.
  • You only have to go through the nappy stage once – and once is enough to last a lifetime.
  • You’ll only ever have one teenager to deal with.
  • You’ll find yourself playing more with your child because sometimes you might be the only person around to play with.
  • You can dedicate more time to them and still find time for yourself.
  • You will build up an incredibly close relationship with your child.
  • You will have more time to pursue your own goals.
  • You will have a more disposable income to share – not that money is the be all and end all, but it certainly spreads thin the more children you have.
  • Your child gets 100% of your love and attention.
  • Your child will have uninterrupted and consistent time with you.
  • You will build an incredibly intense bond with them.
  • Growing up surrounded by adults will mean that they are able to communicate better with them.
  • Getting a babysitter for one child is a lot easier.
  • You only need to get one of everything.
  • You save a fortune just feeding one.
There will always be pros and cons to any decision you make, but, at the end of the day, whatever makes you and your family happy is all that really matters.

If you’re happy then your child will be happy and that's what is important.
