Halloween is going to look and feel very different this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Many parents and children even question whether trick-or-treating will be cancelled - and right now, we just don't know. 

However, it seems some of the family-oriented Halloween events experiences across Ireland are preparing their patches for plenty of thrilling ways to frighten us silly this autumn. 

Here are some of the most anticipated All Hallows' Eve adventures that we cannot wait to visit this October. As always, remember to book early to avoid disappointment.

Ladyrath Lane, Co. Meath

This year there have been some massive changes made to how things run at Ladyrath Pumpkin Patch. They will be opening at a 75% reduced capacity which means fewer tickets, so you have to be quick if you want to explore the muddy fields of Meath and pick your own Pumpkin. Expect a bigger playground, lots of inflatables, and much more.

Ballycross Apple Farm, Co. Wexford

Families across Ireland are invited to take a spellbinding walk through unspoilt woodlands and scenic walkways to the Witches Village, or even hitch a ride to the pumpkin patch on their tractor and trailer to pick that perfect Pumpkin you and your little ones can take home for carving this Halloween. Other activities include a petting farm, pedal tractors, go-karts, bouncy castle and outdoor blackboards.

Nore Valley Park, Co. Kilkenny

Join in the spooktacular fun this autumn at the Nore Valley Park in Kilkenny who have decided to go ahead with their annual Torchlight Treasure Hunt. From 26th - 31st of October, you can toast marshmallows on a bonfire, pick your own pumpkin (one pumpkin per family) and test your nerve in a truly terrifying maze.

Clonfert Pet Farm, Co. Kildare

Whatever the weather, Clonfert will be transformed into FRIGHTFEST next month. All of your little ghosts and ghouls can expect a haunted petting farm with spooky graveyards, topped with wicked witch stories and all going well, a pick your own pumpkin patch.

Alright Pumpkin, Co. Meath

Back due to popular demand, Alright Pumpkin has announced they will be reopening their huge Halloween events farm with three separate sessions to ensure the safety and comfort of all their guests. Alright Pumpkin is Ireland's largest homegrown pumpkin patch, and the activities planned have yet to be announced.
