Double Date Ideas That Are Easy To Organise

Another positive about enjoying a date night with another couple is that you are less likely to spend the night talking about your kids.

Sharing your precious date night with another couple may sound like a bit of a compromise but it actually makes a lot of sense. It’s probably getting increasingly difficult to find time for all of the people in your life so a double date night is a great way to reconnect with those couple friends of yours.
It can also make the date nightmuch more affordable and, let’s be honest, a bit more craic. When you go on a date night with another couple there is a totally different dynamic.
There is loads to talk and laugh about and less pressure on you as a couple to have the best date night EVER. It also feels like a “proper night out” because you are in a group and it’s totally OK to admit that you might just be craving one of those.
Another positive about enjoying a date night with another couple is that you are less likely to spend the night talking about your kids... which does seem to happen every time it’s just the two of you.
We’ve come up with some really nice double date night ideas that are really easy to organise. With more people to please easy is always the goal!

1. A Games Night At One Of Your Homes
Finally an excuse to whip out the board games that simply do not work with just two people (or worse, with the kids). It’s a cheap and cheerful date night idea that is easily planned. Bring your own beer, pick up some snacks (or order a take away) and enjoy some fun together.

2. Do A Cookery Course Together
We’ve done a couple of these over the years and they are brilliant experiences. Doing them with another couple would be great fun because they tend to involve a cheeky glass of wine and lots of opportunities to have a laugh.
3. Head Away For The Night
It’s just like old times. Pick up a Groupon deal for a hotel that isn’t too far away and enjoy the novelty of getting dolled up with your pal, some cocktails and a nice meal. Even better if there is a spa and nice pool to enjoy together too. It’s like a few date ideas rolled into one and getting away for the night is a great way to recharge the batteries.

4. Go To A Concert
Concerts are brilliant in a group. Have you noticed that band from your younger years are touring? Round the troops, get some tickets and make a night of it.
5. Bingo Loco
Seriously, if you haven’t heard of this you need to. You are welcome.

6. Go To A Festival Together
Relive your youth and enjoy the ultimate novelty together with a day at a festival. Just think of the funky outfits and over-priced drinks – it’ll be brilliant. And yes it will probably rain but you’ll be too busy having a great time to care.

7. Couples Come Dine With Me
You can call it the above but just have each other over for dinner. It pretty much guarantees you another date night so the other couple can return the favour. It’s also a lovely opportunity to whip up something special in your own kitchen and home.

8. Go Dancing
Like to an actual nightclub. It feels a bit weird when it’s just you two so this is the perfect excuse to dance like no-one’s watching with people you love and trust.
