5 Unusual But Lovely Date Night Opportunities In Dublin

Dublin’s fair city is bursting at the seams with date night opportunities for you to enjoy.

Dublin’s fair city is bursting at the seams with date night opportunities for you to enjoy. Perhaps you are looking for something a little bit different though.
You might know all the best haunts for an early dinner or some gorgeous cocktails. Maybe you’re not feeling the cinema and you just want something a little bit unusual for your next date. Here are some unusual but rather lovely date night ideas in Dublin.
1. Mongolian BBQ
This place is super popular IF you’ve heard of it before. I’m surprised by the number of people that haven’t though so it’s getting a mention here. It is a restaurant in Temple Bar just down from Central Bank and what makes this date night experience unusual is the fact that you are kind of, sort of, cooking your own food. That might sound like a date night hell to a lot of people but hear me out. This place is really unique! You fill your bowl at the “raw” food buffet, add your seasoning and sauce of choice and then take it to the cooking area where a chef stir-fries it all for you on the Mongolian grill. You can go up as many times as you want making for some really fun opportunities for different flavour combinations. It’s also pretty healthy as the food is all essentially a delicious stir fry!

2. Eat Yard
This is a must in my opinion. It’s a little food market/restaurant spot attached to the Bernard Shaw pub in Dublin and it is all kinds of amazing. Catch it on a sunny evening and you’re living the dream with so many gorgeous food options and the trusty Bernard Shaw bar right beside you too.

3. Guinness Storehouse Open Gate Brewery
Visit the Taproom and speak to the beer specialists who will share their knowledge and recommend the right tasting options for you. Sample their rotating beer options that are only available at the Open Gate Brewery and be the first to taste the newest ones.
4. Adventure Rooms Dublin
Exercise your adventurous side by visiting Dublin’s adventure rooms. These are great for stags/hens and team building but we think they would make an epic date night for a couple too. It’s got the perfect level of fun and competition. According to their website, only a third of people manage to escape in the given time! Will you be the lucky ones?

5. Skyline Tour At Croke Park
Head into town early and enjoy some amazing views of our city from seventeen storeys high at Ireland’s famous sporting grounds. We can’t think of a better way to spend a day and then enjoy some dinner and drinks afterwards.
