Do you remember the excitement of getting your Christmas Day clothes when you were a kid?
Do you remember the excitement of getting your Christmas Day clothes when you were a kid? Like us, you probably tried them on several times and spoke about them to anyone who would listen.
There was always something really special about the “rig-out” that you would wear with pride on the big day. In our case, my mother had a tendency to put us all in matching outfits, and they make for some pretty cute photographs when we look back now.
Here are some of our favourite Christmas day outfit ideas for your kids:
River Island have a beautiful selection of clothes for boys and girls of all ages, but we particularly love the tartan on offer.
This dress is reduced from €22 to €17 and we think it would be beautiful with some dark tights and patent boots. This is a dress that will be worn again and again and the quality of River Island makes it a great hand-me-down for future children too.
The River Island boys collection is stunning. This leopard print t-shirt is so quirky and stylish and it’s only €13. We love the idea of teaming it with these black Chelsea boots and a pair of black skinny jeans that have a comfortably stretchy material. Stunning!
As always Next have a beautiful array of occasion-wear in stock right now. For us Next is all about the quality. The clothes really stand the test of time.
These Dinosaur Christmas jumpers will be a big hit with the boys and they come in a huge range of sizes if you wanted to match the kids up.
We love Littlewoods and the fact that we can pay for our items bit by bit. This beautiful Monsoon dress would be a really special Christmas day dress. We think it’s beautiful!
For the girls, we adore these black floral pinafore dresses and it is the kind of piece that will be worn time and time again. It can be paired with tights, a long sleeved top and boots during the winter and kept simple for the summer.
This green frill jumper is also a beautiful colour. We think it would look stunning with a black skirt, tights and patent boots.
For the boys, we thought this two-piece outfit was so sweet and it looks super comfortable too. With my little boy, comfort is key so I’ll probably pick up a nice tracksuit for Stephens Day also. That way we know he will get plenty of wear out it.
