Motherboard: Our amazingly honest new parenting podcast

Brought to you by: LIDL Article sponsor

We are delighted to launch Motherboard Podcast– our brand new series featuring mums talking about the beautiful but hard work of raising children today.

Expect raw, honest conversation from our diverse panel. No subject is off limits, we discuss everything from weight gain, home births, sex, anxiety and so much more.

Episode 1: Bumps, Birth & Beyond

Our first podcast focuses on the journey from bump to birth and beyond. Meet our amazing panelists below.

Avril Flynn

Avril Flynn

Avril is our resident midwife. She has delivered hundreds of babies and is currently pregnant with her very own miracle baby. Avril's road to conception was difficult and sadly she had an ectopic pregnancy last year, but now thankfully things have taken a positive turn. Avril is loving experiencing the other side of pregnancy and it has helped her in her role as a midwife, as she now has a greater understanding of what her ‘mums' are going through both physically and emotionally.

Tracey Quinn

Tracey Quinn

Tracey is another one of our amazing panelists. She is mum to 4-year-old Billy and proud owner of a lovely bearded husband (who she married on national TV!). Tracey's motherhood journey has been full of ups and downs. When she found out she was pregnant she was 16 stone and scared she wouldn't be healthy enough to carry her baby. Thankfully everything worked out in the end and Tracey and her little family are extremely happy!

Kellie Kearney

Kellie Kearney

Mum of 4, Kellie is a full-time blogger she has three children under the age of 5, so it's safe to say she keeps busy! In the past, Kellie has suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder after experiencing an unplanned home birth. After seeking help, she is now thankfully in a much better place and feeling great. Her favourite piece of advice to give mums is to always trust your gut and seek help if you feel you need to.

Trina Mara

Trina Mara

Radio presenter and mum of one Trina is one of our amazing Motherboard panellists. At 36, when Trina found out she was pregnant, it was a total surprise. She was involved in a car crash, and subsequently found out she was pregnant afterwards. When Trina and her partner discovered they were pregnant they were over the moon but also slightly worried that about the effects of the car crash and subsequent medication. Trina was also diagnosed with gestational diabetes, which added to her stress and worries. Despite all of this, they now are proud parents to healthy baby Anna. Anna even helps her mum record some of her radio shows!
