Natural Migraine Remedies: Try these natural remedies that might help get you back on your feet faster.

Migraine sufferers often look for natural remedies for migraines to help prevent attacks and ease migraine symptoms.

Here at Family Friendly HQ we know that the struggle is real when it comes to Migraines. We also know how frustrating it is when people call it a “headache”. It is absolutely on-another-level unfortunately. It consumes you. Often for days. It also affects your sight, your appetite, your sleep and as a consequence your emotional well-being.

If you are a parent who suffers from Migraines you might be interested in some of the below natural remedies. Anything is worth a shot, right?

1. Taking Magnesium.
Some studies have shown that the body can have a low Magnesium level during a Migraine. Magnesium is also connected to nerve functioning and activity and therefore may be connected to Migraine too. Studies have shown that there may be a connection between Magnesium levels and Migraine. There are some reported side-affects when taking Magnesium including Diarrhoea and cramping.

2. Tiger Balm
This one surprised us too. This one won't prevent a Migraine but it might just make it a little more bearable. Many people report that using this on their forehead or temples eases some of the discomfort caused by a Migraine. While there are no studies to show this, we would definitely give it a try.

3. Migrastick
This product has people talking for all the right reasons. It is believed to relieve pain caused by Migraines and headaches. It is a roll-on device which contains a blend of 100% natural pure essential oils. It's small enough to store in your pocket so when pain strikes you have something to hand which aims to relieve it.

4. Apple Cider Vinegar
This is becoming a bit of a super “food” in recent years. It is connected to lowering blood sugar levels as well as reducing pain and promoting weight loss. Many people now also claim that it helps reduce Migraines. Add one tablespoon of it to a glass of water with a dash of honey and ingest daily.

5. Peppermint
Peppermint has anti-inflammatory properties which may relieve nerve pain and discomfort. It also has calming properties which may be connected to reducing the tension that centres around headaches and migraines. Many have it as a tea 1-2 times daily.
