Everything You Need To Know About Beatyard Festival

It's taking place on the August Bank Holiday weekend and is the ideal event for those wanting to do something a little different.

Beatyard Festival is coming back to Dun Laoghaire on the August Bank Holiday weekend and we thought now was as good a time as any to find out more about it. With some incredible acts and it being on a long weekend makes this event ideal for those wanting to do something a little different.
It is family friendly too and while they have not announced their family-friendly activities and entertainment (yet) you can rest assured that the weekend will be one to remember for everyone, young and old.
Here are some things you need to know about this fun and entertaining festival:

The Beatyard Festival line-up:
One of the biggest draws this year (in terms of music acts) is Groove Armada, who will headline the Beatyard Festival. The electronic duo hve many fans in Ireland and they are expected to be the highlight of the weekend.
However, it isn’t just them who festival goers can look forward to with several other well-respected acts performing over the two days. These include Chvrches, Todd Terje, Grandmaster Flash, Jungle and Marc Rebillet to name a few.
Glasgow band CHVRCHES will be delighted to perform their latest hits and they too have a huge following after some well-received music hits. Marc Rebillet is hugely popular and has something of a cult following. Grandmaster Flash is an American hip hop artist and DJ, who is massively innovative, and he recently won the Swedish Polar Music Prize.
Family-friendly things to consider:
As mentioned above, Beatyard Festival will not be announcing its family-friendly activities and entertainment until late May but what we do know is there will be lots of things to do, for the kids.
Also, they have made it as easy as possible for parents with baby changing facilities and you can bring buggies. They do advise you bring your child some protective headphones especially if you plan to hang out by the main stage.
They have plenty of food and drink vendors on site too with Eatyard offering plenty of foodie options and tasty treats. Last year, they had Gamesyard which is an opportunity for all the family to have fun doing sports and games. There is also the well-known Kidsyard that welcomes children and offers lots of fun for the little ones.
For all the up to date information, we advise you check out their website as they are constantly updating the line-up and making more announcements. Full terms and conditions are included on the site too. Check it out here.
