15 Baby Products That Were So Useless They Ended Up In The Bin

Parents can easily be sucked into buying baby products that are meant to be “brilliant” but when you get them you realise they are anything but! It is usually best to do some research before your impulse buy but we have all been there and here are some baby products we here in FFHQ found so useless we got rid of them.

Parents can easily be sucked into buying baby products that are meant to be “brilliant” but when you get them you realise they are anything but! It is usually best to do some research before your impulse buy but we have all been there and here are some baby products we here in FFHQ found so useless we got rid of them.
Please note: We say bin in the title, but this is for emphasis, in most cases we sent them to the charity shop, offered them to a friend or ultimately recycled them as well as we could!
  • Wipe Warmers – Seriously who needs wipe warmers? Enough bloody said!
  • Baby knee pads – Apparently, these are slip-proof and therefore reduce the chances of slipping while your baby is crawling about. However, knee pads aren’t doing baby’s any favours and come on; think about it, did we come to any harm without a freaking knee pad?!
  • Baby food makers – Here’s the thing, there is no need to spend money on a silly baby food maker when you have a masher and quite possibly a food processor at home! It is just companies being smart about their marketing and knowing that new mums will buy it because they want to do everything right. By baby two the food maker is gathering dust and it was probably never used anyway!
  • Bumper pads for the cot – These are a waste of money because though they look pretty it is advised we don’t use them as they can be a hazard for a young baby. That basically renders them completely useless.
  • Baby mittens – Is there a single baby in the world that keeps these annoying yokes on? No; I didn’t think so!
  • Bottle warmer – It is quicker to dump the bottle in boiling water than to use a baby warmer. By the time you get it on and whatnot, the baby is nearly a teenager!
  • Nappy Stacker – Why? Just why do we need a nappy stacker? Just leave them in the bag on the floor like all good parents do!
  • Nappy disposable bin – If you haven’t got one of these, I feel for you -not!
  • Bumbo seat – For starters, it looks like a fancy potty and for the amount of time your baby will get to sit in it, it is not worth the money.
  • Mobile for the cot – Does the baby pay attention to it? Maybe they do but let’s be honest, we buy them because they look cute and match the other s*&t in the baby’s room.
  • Changing table – I know, a lot of people swear by these and they are handy for hanging your clothes off but seriously, a good changing mat is fine and a towel.
  • Baby bath – They’ll only fit in it for short space of time so why waste money on one?
  • Door baby bouncer – Why would you want to block up your door with your baby anyway?
  • Baby hammocks – Not helpful at all.
  • Baby shoes – Yes, they look cute and all, but they get lost or drive you mad having to pick them up again and again. Leave the shoes until your baby is running marathons!
