Whether this truly is the end of the road for the gang of ‘Hotel Transylvania’ or not, it has been a fun adventure for cinema-goers.

‘Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation’ is potentially the best in the series. The third (and final?) instalment with Drac’s Pack sees the gang head off on holiday on a cruise ship, as some of their hotel guests have tagged along too.

Adam Sandler returning once again to the role of Dracula is just as inspiring as always – you can’t help but feel a connection between yourself and Drac, and you really are rooting for him to find his true love, his “zing”. A lot of his jokes are also laugh-out-loud funny, so that’s always a plus when heading along to something you and your kids can appreciate together. The introduction of his old arch-nemesis in the form of Abraham Van Helsing (the voice of Jim Gaffigan) results in quite a hilarious final showdown all to do with dancing, DJ-ing, and scary underwater creatures.

The movie comes with an underlying message that has been present throughout the trilogy – no matter how we look, act, or seem, we’re really all not that different.

Sprinkled in amongst the script are moments that adults will appreciate to no end – such as when one holidaying couple discovers you can drop off your young ones at a daycare while you get to enjoy yourself kid-free for a few glorious hours. There’s also plenty of adult-themed jokes in amongst the childish ones to keep parents happy too.

Join the monster family as they embark on a vacation on a luxury monster cruise ship in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation.

The movie comes with an underlying message that has been present throughout the trilogy – no matter how we look, act, or seem, we’re really all not that different (even the monstrous ones amongst us!). Dracula in particular is the poster-man for “Can’t we all just get along?” and it’s a great theme to be present in a kids movie – or even three of them. It’s a subtle theme that has become more obvious as the series has continued, and all comes to a head right here. Drac’s Pack dealing with the antagonists here fully embraces this theme, and makes the movie all that more enjoyable for all.

Whether this truly is the end of the road for the gang of ‘Hotel Transylvania’ or not, it has been a fun adventure for us cinema-goers. And even more delightfully, this entry in the series ends up coming out on top.
