6 Friends Every Mum Should Have

It's helpful to have all these types of personalities in your life to get him through the week

When you become a mum your friends become more important to you than ever and although you love them all equally, you value them for all different reasons!
The Organised One
Great to have in a mini crisis; this friend will have packed everything that you intended to bring but forgot. Spare nappies, plasters and tissues; their change bag is like a bottomless pit.
The Fashionable One
After spending so long in maternity clothes it can be hard to get back to grips with fashion again. It’s so tempting to stay in baggy, shapeless, comfy clothes but it helps your confidence to start looking like ‘you’ again. Step forward your fashion savvy friend who will give your wardrobe a Gok Wan style overhaul.
The Sympathetic One
A problem shared is a problem halved and we all need someone who will let us whinge to our hearts delight while refilling our glass of wine. Sometimes it’s not practical advice we need, just a friend that will let us off load.
The Knowledgeable One
Whether it’s because they’ve got a few kids of their own or whether it’s just because they’ve read all the parenting books, to have someone who has all the answers is invaluable. It’s so much nicer having someone at the end of the phone rather than spending your time Googling.
The Energetic One
Some days it would be so easy to stay at home rather than making the effort to go out. However if you have a friend with ‘get up and go’ they won’t give you the option of being lazy. You might sometimes get annoyed with their seemingly endless amount of energy but you’ll be grateful when you have days out to remember.
The Foodie One
It’s great to have someone on speed dial with some culinary cop on. When you become a mother you want to feed your kids something delicious and fresh with minimal effort but cookbooks can be intimidating to a beginner. A friend that’s happy to teach you is far preferable than trying to read up on recipes when you’re severely sleep deprived.
