Dad Takes Over Breastfeeding His Newborn Allowing Mum To Recover From A C-section

Sometimes labour doesn't always go the way we expect it and it sucks, it really sucks. Sure I delivered my third born in my hallway as she was in such a hurry. I shudder every time I think of it.
One mum, April Neubauer, who had her heart set on breastfeeding came into some complications after her emergency c-section which prevented her from doing so.
During delivery, April had a seizure, which is why she had the emergency c-section. She was given magnesium to prevent further seizures and slept for a number of hours post delivery.
Skin to skin was very important to her so her partner stepped up to the role while she rested following surgery. Rosalia got hungry during this time and their midwife at Door County Medical Center in Wisconsin came up with a very clever idea of trying to get the newborn's dad to breastfeed to help make the transition easier when she came around.
April's partner Maxamillian wore a fake nipple suction cup and they used a syringe and a tube to feed baby Rosalia and it was a huge success.
We spoke exclusively with April and she told us: "He truly is amazing for stepping in the way he did since I couldn't. Not a lot of men would do what he did."
Maxamillian praised the midwife on Facebook which has since gone viral, he said: "Due to complications during Aprils emergency c-section. This super rad nurse made a epically killer offer, and I was fortunate enough to slap on a suction cup fake nipple. Being the first to breast feed da baby!!!! “I did it for the moms” Eat your heart out!!".
April is hoping for good results following a number of tests so she can go home today. She told us said: "I couldn't ask for a better husband or better father for our baby girl and other kids to come"
She is now looking forward to taking her family home and enjoy life as a family of three.
