For one day only various emergency services including Meath County Fire & Rescue Service will come together to host an epic family fun day in Navan.

The free family day taking place later this month will provide a platform for all of our blue light services to demonstrate their skills, equipment and transport in a fun, safe and controlled environment.

Other emergency services showcasing impressive displays on the day include the Irish Prison Service, Leinster River Rescue, Order of Malta, Road Safety Authority, Civil Defence and the Red Cross. 

Aspiring firefighters will get a chance to get up close and personal with specialist equipment while fire crew demonstrate their equipment and provide fire safety and fire prevention tips to both young and old. 

The Emergency Services Day organised by Navan Gardaí will take place on Saturday, 24th August

The National Ambulance Service will be providing CPR demonstrations while the not-for-profit Cú Chulainn Blood Bikes share their story on the wonderful voluntary work they do for communities across Ireland delivering urgently needed blood, blood products, human tissue, patient files and infant milk.

Meath River Rescue will have their service boat on display during the three-hour get together and all children will have an opportunity to see the impressive equipment on board. 

One of the main events includes a tug of war between the various services and weather permitting a helicopter landing is scheduled to take place. 

Other activities include raffles, information stands, face painting and there will be prizes for the best-dressed children on the day so get your thinking caps on because this is one day you don't want to miss. 

The Emergency Services Day organised by Navan Gardaí will take place on Saturday, 24th August from noon to 3 pm at Navan O'Mahony's, Brew Hill in Navan.
