We don't know about you, but spiders are not our friends.

It’s that time of the year when spiders are running rampant around our homes and almost every night we are greeted with a huge, hairy, eight-legged friend in our bedrooms.

If you’re not a fan of creepy crawlies scuttling around your house, we have the perfect household hack for you.

This shopper has discovered a cheap, effective and humane way to keep spiders out of her home. In a post shared in Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, Sylvia Crawford revealed her method, which involved anti-bac spray and leftover mint leaves.

Like a lot of insects, spiders can’t stand mint. Sheila put the left-over mint leaves in a spray bottle with a small amount of cleaner left, and sprayed it around her doors and windows.

She wrote, “I watched the spiders run as I sprayed.”

This way, there is no need to kill or catch spiders as they
won’t want to go near your house in the first place.
