This homemade granola is so tasty and can be made in just two minutes. What's not to love?

Who doesn't love granola? You can put it on pretty much anything for breakfast and it will still taste good. Yoghurt, cereal, fruit - it all tastes better with a little sprinkling of your favourite granola.

But, as I'm sure a lot of us could agree, it can work out a little expensive depending on your preferred flavour and brand.

What if I told you that we found a brilliant recipe, meaning you could make the tastiest homemade granola in just two minutes? Here's everything you need to know.

The recipe comes from Ciara Attwell (or @myfussyeater on Instagram). She shares brilliant child-friendly recipes for the whole family, but this is definitely one of our favourites.

You simply need:

  • 2 tsp of coconut oil
  • 2 tsp of water
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp of honey
  • 5 tbsp of rolled oats
  • 2 tbsp of nuts and seeds
  • 1 tbsp of raisins

You simply heat the coconut oil, water, vanilla extract and honey in the microwave for 20 seconds. Then you add in your rolled oats and nuts and seeds and stir until they are completely coated with the oil mixture. Then, pop them in the microwave for between one and a half and two minutes in thirty-second intervals, stirring well until all the oats are nice and brown.

Lastly, pour the granola onto a plate and spread out - Ciara says that this helps the granola to "crisp up". You can serve it up immediately or keep it in an airtight jar for up to five days.

For a little variation, you could definitely add in some cinnamon or some more dried fruit - the possibilities are endless!

We made this over the weekend served with fresh strawberries and yoghurt and we can confirm that it is absolutely delicious. It would also be a great recipe to make over the weekend to prep for the week ahead.
