The mum of three used hypnobirthing to have a positive homebirth.

A UK mum has given birth to her third baby and he's kind of made history already. Baby Atticus is officially one of the UK's biggest babies. The adorable baby boy weighed a whopping 11 pounds 6oz.

According to the Mirror UK this was the mum's third large baby. The absolute powerhouse of a mum gave birth to her first baby a couple of years ago and her second baby weighed a healthy 10 pound 6oz.

The 34 year old mum gave birth in the comfort of her own home using a birthing pool. According to the Mirror UK the midwife arrived with only thirty minutes to spare before beautiful baby Atticus entered the world.

When we heard about the baby's impressive size we did immediately wonder how the mum of three was doing after the birth. Amazingly she did it all with only a couple of puffs of gas and air and she needed no stitches. Her birth story is an incredible testament to home birth and techniques like hypnobirthing which she used to help her through this amazing birth.

By hiring two private midwives the mum felt empowered and confident about having a homebirth, despite the predictions of another larger baby. Her midwives reassured her that her body would not produce a baby that couldn't be birthed by her body. She started to research calm birthing techniques to give herself the best chance of a positive unassisted birth in the comfort of her own home.

While the rest of us were social distancing this amazing mother was giving birth to a baby that is as big as a bowling ball. Baby Atticus isn't the UK's biggest baby though. To date the largest baby was 12 pound 6oz compared to the UK's average baby girl size of 7.2lb.

We are so delighted to hear that the whole family are doing really well. Mum is still breastfeeding her daughter while she exclusively breastfeeds baby Atticus too. What an amazing lady she is!
