Before the kids head back to school next month, why not take them for one final outing to the cinema?

July was absolutely stuffed full of great cinema releases for the family. We had Space Jam: A New Legacy, as well as Black Widow, and The Croods 2: A New Age. Here are the top titles that are worth taking an afternoon out to the cinema for the family this August.

Spirit Untamed (PG)

Influenced by the wonderful Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron from 2002, Spirit Untamed is an adventure movie sequel about a headstrong girl longing for a place to belong. After moving town and not connecting much with her new surroundings, she unexpectedly crosses paths with a wild horse and the two kindred spirits strike up a meaningful relationship. Spirit Untamed is out in cinemas now.

Jungle Cruise (12+)

It's the return of the family action adventure! Join Emily Blunt and Dwayne Johnson for what will be a rollicking thrill ride as they barrel down the Amazon in search of an ancient tree with mysterious and magical abilities. Based on the Disney Parks amusement ride of the same name (along the same lines as The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise), the movie is packed full of thrilling chases and plenty of laughs - perfect for a cinema date with the family this August!

Paw Patrol: The Movie (G, August 9)

We all know at least one child who is obsessed with Paw Patrol, so they are going to absolutely LOVE going to see their favourite pups up on the gigantic cinema screen for their first feature-length adventure. The movie has a pretty amazing all-star cast included in the line-up, such as Kim Kardashian, Jimmy Kimmel, Tom Fletcher, Sam Faiers, Randall Park, and even our very own Irish superstar Ronan Keating. In their first thrilling big-screen adventure, the Paw Patrol’s biggest rival, Humdinger, becomes Mayor and starts wreaking havoc.
