The Jack And Jill Foundation are currently offering end-of-life support and frontline nursing to 340 children in Ireland.

We love coming across feel good news. When that news relates to acts of kindness it really lights us up. This story hails from Artane and it really made our day. Children, adults and seniors of Artane have come together to perform a special version of "you've got a friend in me" to raise funds for The Jack And Jill Foundation.

The collaboration saw Artane residents of all ages collaborating to perform some fantastic music. According to Artane School Of Music fundraising page

" The Artane Band and the Artane Senior Band, under the virtual baton of Director Ronan O'Reilly, have combined their talents in a concert band arrangement of "You've Got A Friend in Me" to raise much needed funds for the Jack & Jill Foundation "

The final product showcased 50 different musicians and included a variety of wind, brass and percussion instruments. The virtual performance is full of emotion and does great justice to such a beautiful song. There is something truly special about seeing different generations coming together to create something so poignant.

The words of "you've got a friend in me" really capture the sentiment behind the fundraiser. The collaboration aims to raise funds for The Jack And Jill Foundation who are currently offering end-of-life support and frontline nursing to 340 children in Ireland. The charity is currently experiencing a shortfall of €500,000 following the impact and fundraising limitations of Covid-19.

I think you'll agree that the Artane Band and the Artane Senior Band have done a wonderful job here. If you are in a position to make a donation to the fundraiser you can do so here.
