As parents we need all the extra's, we want kids clubs, swimming pools and for larger families like myself, we want interconnecting rooms. With young babies, some parents need access to a microwave and a kettle and of course, an enjoyable relaxed atmosphere, a place that goes the extra mile.
Today we've compiled a list in no particular order of our favourite hotels for families in Ireland. We hope it helps with planning your next staycation on the Emerald Isle.
The Pillo Hotel & Spa, Ashbourne

Their family bedrooms include two double beds with some interconnecting rooms. There are SMART TV’s, WiFi and small refrigerators included. The hotel has a leisure centre, day spa, golf course and children’s playground so lots to do on-site and close-by! 
The Redcastle Hotel & Spa
The Redcastle Hotel, Golf & Spa in County Donegal is a superb 4-star resort nestled on the shores of Lough Foyle in Inishowen. The hotel is perched on the edge of a rugged coastline and the views capture every change of weather and sky imaginable. Redcastle does not have a play area or kids room but Leisuresland, a kids indoor activity centre sits right next door to the hotel. The Amber Springs Hotel in Gorey 
This is a brilliant family hotel! There are loads of things for the kids to do. The hotel is minutes from excellent beaches, has adult and kids' swimming pool, a great active kids club, pet farm, mini golf, go-karting, Amber Train and Village and four restaurants including an Italian garden pizzeria and an adult only FARM steakhouse. 
Lough Allen Hotel, Leitrim
