How Is It Possible To Raise A Human And Not Be Able To Do These Things.....
I’m a good mother. Like I honestly feel as though I’m doing a pretty good job at raising my son. I don’t get it right all the time but my heart and efforts are in the right place. He goes without nothing and he smiles a lot.
So how is it possible that I can raise a human and still for the life of  I cannot do these things...
  • Remember to put the bins out. Like I can see the big chart on the fridge. I receive the reminder texts. And yet I still manage to forget about it every couple of weeks.
  • Change the batteries in my son’s toys. I’m not even going to lie and say it’s a case of buying batteries. They’re in the press. As is the screw-driver. It’s like I’m allergic to the task and I just don’t know why....
  • Iron properly. I’ll admit to buying clothes that don’t require ironing but every so often an item just needs it and if there was an award for the world’s worst ironer I would be a certain winner.
  • Do an eyeliner flick. It’s not important and It’s not going to change the world but for the love of God I just want to be able to do it.
  • Pass my driving test. Touchy subject.
  • Cook pasta Al Dente. We all love pasta. It’s a “quick and easy” dinner but in this house it’s one that resembles rocks or mush.
  • Order food in a restaurant. I’ll mess up a word, stutter or order something that doesn’t even exsist on the menu.
  • You know that password you need to use your debit card for online purchases? I’ve literally changed it seven thousand times and I’m as surprised as you that this is even allowed.
