January gets a bad rep for being “the worst month of the year” but it is the start of a new year and a fresh start, and that's always a good thing.

January gets a bad rep for being “the worst month of the year” and while it may be not the most enjoyable of months, it is the start of a new year which is always a good thing. In the office here at FFHQ, we don’t like to wish time away so here are some of the best things about January for you to remember when the dreaded blues settle in.
Fitness regime - January usually means a whole new you and this starts by adopting a fitness regime and sticking to it. You may need to lose some weight or perhaps you just want to get fitter and be healthier. January is a great time to join fitness classes and meet new people who want to achieve the same as you do. As it is a new year, you will find a huge amount of options and this may suit your lifestyle so much that you will become fanatic about a certain class.
Healthy eating - Along with the new fitness regime, most people are adopting healthy eating and good nutrition is another big factor in the new you! Gone are the Christmas sweets replaced with loads of fruit and vegetables. The last of the crisps have been eaten and you are feeling rather pleased with yourself that now you can be much healthier.
January sales - Yes, we know everyone is broke, but some people may have some cash after Christmas and this means hitting the shops and having a great time. You’ll find some wonderful bargains post-Christmas, and this means you can get that jacket you have yearned for the last six months.
TV shows and new seasons - If you are a TV or Netflix fan, January means new shows and seasons which is cool. It helps the many “nights in” after a busy December and if you really love a certain show you can always hold your own mini party at home and have some friends around. Winning!
Future goals - January marks a new year and a new opportunity to change your life goals if you want to. This could mean looking at new jobs or planning for a career change by attending college. Whatever it is, now is the time to get it down on paper and work towards it. January gives you lots of time to sit in and think about things too as everyone stays in and as people are broke, they spend nights in planning.
Holiday plans - Now we are talking! Nothing says January more than the beginning of those sun ads and we love them! If you are planning on a sunny holiday or any break away January is the beginning of those plans and it is so much fun planning. Whether you get your dream holiday or not it is good to sit back and dream about it or at least begin to save for that dream sun break.
You see, January isn’t so bad, is it?!
