Getting The Wear Out Of Your Child's Summer Wardrobe This Autumn

We've only just took the tags off the children's summer clothes and the weather is already warranting a whole new Autumnal one!

• You know all those shorts? Why not use those as the “spare” clothes in your child's play-school bag. It is probably very rare that they'll actually need them. The odd accident or lunch spillage perhaps so having them in a pair of shorts for an hour isn't a big deal. You'll feel like they are not going to waste too.
• Use t-shirts as a PJ option. The Autumnal months mean a very changeable weather situation. Some nights are actually on the warmer side and a full length bottom and shorter top might just be the perfect combination. They will also work for house-days where you are lounging around the house and don't have to worry to much about the temperature.
• Rather than stocking up on lots of new long sleeved tops you could buy a packet of long sleeved vests in white and navy or colours that will look well under your child's t-shirts. That means they'll still get the wear out of them in the colder months.
• If you have a little girl don't put away the summer dresses that still fit them perfectly. Just pick up a couple of pairs of tights and some cardigans. Team with a pair of winter boots and you have a whole new Autumnal/Winter wardrobe.
• Not quite ready for a winter coat purchase but finding a hoody or a raincoat just isn't making the cut? Teaming a hoody with a lightweight raincoat is actually the perfect solution. It's warm, rainproof and can easily be adapted to suit a colder or milder day by removing either of the items.
