We have teamed up with the lovely people at Children's Books Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a competition.

When the news broke that St. Patrick's Day parades around the country were being cancelled it resulted in huge disappointment for our children. St. Patrick's Day is a celebration that they had been working towards at school and in the family home for a number of weeks.

Due to ongoing fears connected to the spread of Covid-19 the government made the decision to cancel all of the St. Patrick's Day celebrations and we can absolutely see why. However, that does not mean that we cannot celebrate at all.

At Family Friendly HQ we wanted to create a bit of excitement for your children. We know that outfits, accessories and props were ready and waiting for the big day and now they have nowhere to show them off. To combat this we have teamed up with the lovely people at Children's Books Ireland to celebrate St. Patrick's Day with a competition.

Our St. Patrick's Day "Show And Tell" Competition will be an opportunity for your children to showcase their St. Patrick's Day clothes, accessories and arts and crafts. We will publish a Facebook post on the big day and you can enter the competition by commenting under the post with a photograph of your children's clothes, decorations, props, baking, Lego creations or art pieces. Anything goes.

The prize will go to the most creative and original entry and the winner will receive a bundle of children's books (by Irish Authors and Illustrators) from Children's Books Ireland.

We can't wait to see your entries and celebrate St. Patrick's Day in a creative way. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post!
