Get ready for your next few months to be jam-packed with great cinema releases.

With our beloved cinemas finally back open this past summer, chances are with everything going full throttle, you might not even have ventured into one. That is all about to change, however, as there are a number of exciting looking family films on the cusp of being released in cinemas.

So, for the remainder of the year, get yourselves ready for your children (and potentially your other half) to plead with you to bring them to see the newest releases on the big screen.

Here's what you can all look forward to for the remainder of 2021.

'The Addams Family 2'

Release date: October 8

October is the official start of the spooky season, and everyone’s favourite spooky family is back just in time for it. In this all-new movie, we find Morticia and Gomez distraught that their children are growing up, skipping family dinners, and totally consumed with "scream time" (relatable?). To reclaim their bond, it's time for a miserable family vacation together as they venture across America. What could possibly go wrong (or right)?

'Ron's Gone Wrong'

Release date: October 22

Released just before the midterm break this October, it's the latest and hilarious-looking Disney Animation, 'Ron's Gone Wrong'. The adventure follows the story of Barney, who is a socially awkward school-goer and also the last kid in town to get their hands on the trendiest toy on the market - the B-Bot. However, when he finally does get his new technological friend, not everything works out as planned.

'The Boss Baby: Family Business'

Release date: October 22

The first 'Boss Baby' was a huge hit, so its no surprise that a sequel movie is here to bring a few more laughs into our lives. The follow-up takes place years later when Tim and Ted are adults, as the pair join forces with Tim's secret-agent daughter Tina and go undercover to prevent an evil genius from turning fellow toddlers into monstrous brats. It's just the perfect nonsensical comedy to keep everyone entertained in the cinema.

'Ghostbusters: Afterlife'

Release Date: November 12

Who you gonna call? Yes, one of our favourite franchises is making a comeback in a big way, with the release of this legacy sequel film. 'Ghostbusters: Afterlife' takes place years after the original two entries in the series, but expect a number of cameo appearances to pop up this time. One for the oldies and teens/tweens of the household, this will certainly be one film everyone is going to enjoy in November.

'Spider-Man: No Way Home'

Release date: December 17

Another entry for Marvel fans, Spider-Man is swinging onto our screens for his third outing within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This time around, the very fabric of reality is being messed with, meaning that we might see some returning faces from previous 'Spider-Man' movies of old. Another one if you've got eager teens, 'No Way Home' will be one of the biggest movie releases of the entire year.

'Clifford The Big Red Dog'

Release date: December 22

Finally, we have a live-action film that is based on a book and TV series of the same name. This fantasy adventure will see one young girl become best friends with a little puppy - who then magically turns into a gigantic red dog the size of a small house. This looks like a heartwarming yet completely far-fetched movie, and we can't wait to see it!

Note: At the time of writing all release dates were correct, but can be subject to change.
