Irish Blogger Shares Easy DIY Colouring Table Idea

We can't believe how easy this DIY project was.

It's been a long couple of weeks in the home school department. We are just about ready to see Mr Jolly Phonics out the door because he's been living here rent free. I think it's safe to say that colouring has been a reliable staple in a lot of houses. That is why we were delighted to see Irish blogger "the bargain buyer" sharing her easy DIY colouring table idea with her Instagram followers.

We are big fans of the bargain buyer's account. She's a down to earth mother from Dublin and we adore her shopping hauls, foodie tips and parenting chats. She has two adorable little girls who are always dressed in the most adorable clothes. Like many of our children these little girls love colouring. To encourage this activity the bargain buyer created the most beautiful DIY colouring table and we can't believe how easy it was.

We think you'll agree that the finished product is beautiful. It is the perfect set up for crafting and art. After many questions about the DIY project the bargain buyer shared the how-to details with her Instagram followers and we were delighted to see that they are all accessible IKEA products.

It all started with this €27 IKEA table and the matching chairs which the bargain buyer painted herself. She then added this €1.50 rail which was the perfect size for the table (and comes with screws to fix it to another object). She just used rose gold spray paint to transform it's colour. The little containers are also, you guessed it, IKEA's finest. They're just 50 cent each and clip straight on to the rail.

We can't wait to recreate this ourselves.
