Marbled Cheesecake Brownies

Thees are divine!
  • 1 packet cream cheese, Philadelphia (or make the low fat version with Philadelphia Extra Light) (softened)
  • 3 free range egg
  • 3oz all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder 
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 55g butter
  • 150g white sugar
  • 340g Chocolate chips
  • Preheat oven to 175 degrees C. Grease a 9-inch square baking tin.
  • Mix the cream cheese, egg and with 50g sugar and 1 egg together until smooth. 
  • Stir 170g chocolate chips into the mixture. Set aside.
  • Bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Turn heat down very low and place a mixing bowl over the saucepan. Melt the butter and rest of the chocolate chips, stirring until blended. 
  • Stir in remaining 100g sugar and 2 eggs.
  • Sift the dry ingredients together and add to the chocolate stirring together until blended. 
  • Pour half the chocolate mixture into the baking tin and spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture over it. 
  • Top with the remaining chocolate mixture.
  • With a fork, mix the two top layers together so that you can see a pattern on the top.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until top is crinkling.
  • Cool thoroughly. Cut into squares. 
Serve with Vanilla Icecream and berries
