Chicken and steak stir-fry

 
This is a great meal that you can use any leftover vegetables from the fridge.

Ingredients:
  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 fillet of steak
  • 2 peppers (1 red, 1 green)
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic crushed
  • 250g mushrooms
  • 200g Broccoli
  • 2 carrots
  • 150g Mange tout (washed)
  • 2 celery sticks
  • 2 tbsp of Chinese 5 spice
  • 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 100 mls of light soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of corn flour
  • Chilli flakes (optional)
  • 350g of Ready to wok noodles

Method:
  • Chop the garlic clove and onion.
  • Heat the oil in a wok and add the onion and garlic cooking for 2 minutes.
  • Chop the peppers and carrots lengthways and add to the pan cooking for a further 3 minutes.
  • Cut the chicken breasts and fillet of steak into strips and add to the wok and cook for 5-10 minutes
  • Chop the mushrooms and celery and broccoli and add to the wok along with the washed mange tout cooking for a further 3-5 minutes. Sprinkle over the Chinese 5 spice and mix.
  • In a bowl mix the oyster sauce, fish sauce and light soy sauce together and add to the corn flour. Mix and add to the wok. (Add the chilli flakes if extra heat desired)  
  • Cook for a further 2 minutes.
  • Add the noodles to the wok and stir fry for a final 2 minutes.

To Serve:

Place in a bowl and enjoy alone or with a little garlic bread on the side. This dish is also delicious with rice.
