Breakfast Juices

Breakfast Juices

If you are trying to kick starting your new healthy lifestyle for 2015 might want to consider juicing.

Some of the advantages of juicing are:
  • It’s another way to get in your fruits and vegetables
  • Gives you a concentrated dose of vitamins & enzymes, which are usually killed off by the heat in the cooking process
  • Fresh juice is easier for the body to digest than whole fruits and vegetables
  • Juicing extracts as much nutrients from the fruits and vegetables as possible without activating the body’s digestion
  • Promotes weight loss, increases energy and longevity

Here are a couple of recipes that you can try to start your day:
  • 2 lemons, peeled
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, peeled
  • 5 large stalks of celery (stems and leaves)
  • 1 small green apple
  • Begin by juicing the lemon and ginger separately. Place juice aside.
  • Juice the celery/apple.
  • Pour 1-2 parts ginger/lemon blend in each glass.
  • Then pour 5 parts green juice. You can customize the ratio however you'd like though.
  • 1 handful of fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 banana
  • 40g muesli
  • 2 oranges (peeled, with pith left on)
  • 140g natural organic yogurt
  • 140g soya milk
  •  teaspoon honey
Juice the oranges separately and then add to the other ingredients in your blender
