Imaginosity, Dublin Children's Museum

Sandyford, Co.Dublin
Imaginosity, Dublin Children's Museum is a child-centered creative, educational & interactive space for children under 9-years of age and their families. It is a space for adults and children to engage in creative play. Our exhibits are educationally designed to inspire life-long learning through play, igniting imaginations on the journey from curiosity to discovery. Imaginosity is a place that children can explore their imaginations and be whatever or whoever they want to be. It is a place where parents can engage with their children in a meaningful way; enabling and supporting them to learn through play and to be creative, investigative people who have an important place in the world.
At Imaginosity we run daily workshops that are free with admission. Every morning(excluding Mondays) you can bring your little one along for some Sensory Play, Toddler Art, Nursery Rhyme time and all through the afternoons a mixture, of theatre, arts and crafts, science, engineering, you name it, we do it! Please check our website calendar for more information, times and to see which activity is taking place on each day. There are a myriad of rich interactive experiences to engage in at Imaginosity; from meeting the Eco Badger up on the roof garden (seasonal), and learning about how the unique 'green' building works, to making your way up the Climber past the Wizard's Lair and the Rocket Ship to Rapunzel's Castle.
At €8.00 for children and adults, €6.00 for toddlers, €2 for those over 6 months (under 6 months free) for a (minimum) 2 hour visit, it is exceptional value! Imaginosity’s Children’s Camps are certainly the place to be during the school holidays. An Imaginosity camp stands out from the crowd with great value for money, a quality programme of activities delivered by experienced professional facilitators & small camp sizes. Campers will get the opportunity to learn new skills, express themselves through art, drama and dance, get creative, gain confidence, play throughout the museum every day, make new friends and above all HAVE LOTS OF FUN!
At Imaginosity, we welcome and encourage visits from primary schools, Montessori schools, playgroups and Creches, all year round. We offer self-guided visits throughout our 2.5 floors of exhibits which are educationally designed to inspire life-long learning through play, igniting imaginations on the journey from curiosity to discovery. As children play, they learn. Imaginosity has carefully designed environments that inspire children's learning. The three principles governing our education and design philosophy are; an appreciation of children's play behaviour, a knowledge of how an environment can influence play and learning, and an understanding of children's developmental milestones. Imaginosity has been designed to engage the mind on a multi-sensory level with careful consideration of colours and textures; it has been created to allow for both active and reflective spaces for children and adults. All exhibits and activities have been specifically designed for each age group, up to the age of 9 years; so there is something interesting, challenging and engaging for everyone.
