Top Signs That Your Child Is Addicted To Technology
Almost everyone in the world loves technology and it is something that has changed our lives for the better. However, there is definitely an argument for the other side too.

While adults are responding to technology and the ever-changing platforms that come up, children are watching these things unravel at a young age.

The thing is, we don’t know how that impacts our children as we have never lived in this digitally led life before. What we do know is that some kids are becoming more digitally led than others and sometimes they are becoming too reliant on their devices

Unfortunately, most parents are unaware of the problem with many not aware of the signs that their children are addicted to technology.

Here are some red flags for your child:

Your child is becoming less physically active - If your child is spending more and more time sitting down or lying down in bed with a device it can be dangerous for their health. Your child needs to be physically active every day to keep their heart healthy and to encourage good mental health.

Your youngster is not socialising with children and doesn’t want to do anything - A sign that your child is addicted is if your child is losing interest in doing anything else other than use technology. They don’t want to see their friends as that means going outside and they don’t want to go swimming or play games like they used to.

Your child is not concentrating in class and is forgetful - Children can be forgetful but if your child is suddenly more so than other times it may be their tech device problem is causing them to be distracted.

Your kiddie is not sleeping well or is restless - The blue light on devices is not good for young people eyes and it is known to keep people awake. The truth is if your child has a device in their bedroom, they are probably using it too late at night and therefore, not resting before sleep time.

Your child gets moody when devices are turned off or banned - We know kids get moody but there is a line and if your child is being terribly rude or badly behaved because you told them to turn off their device this is not acceptable. There is no need for them to argue and be vicious over such things but if your child is, they are covering up a big problem that will only get worse if you don’t handle it now.

Your kid lies about their use of devices - You tell your kid to turn off the device and read a book, but they lie about putting it away and you find them snuggled under they blanket it with a device in their hands. Lots of kids will lie now and again but if it becomes persistent you need to act.

The best advice here is to restrict the time they use these devices for. Reduce their use to the weekends only and only for a few hours a day. There is no need for more time. Your child can survive without technology – remember that.
