Special Needs Assistants vote for Industrial Action
Special Needs Assistants across the country have voted in favour of industrial action. Unions balloted members over an issue over a delay in allocations for 2018.  SNA’s are not told prior to the summer break if their post is required and where it is required for the following year. Impact trade union has nearly 8,000 members and an overwhelming 97% voted for industrial action.

This may include many types of action up to strike.

Speaking on KFM radio last week Impactss Niall Shanahan said that it puts the Department of Education in breach of agreements on job security and redeployment.
