Sligo shoe shop open a sensory room for children and adults with special need

Cordners in Sligo part of the Shoeshop.ie group has announced they will be opening a sensory room for both adults and children with special needs in store.

The first of its kind Shoeshop.ie said it's "specially designed room which comprises of a range of stimuli to help set the tone for a more calming shoe fitting experience".

Complete with aquatic bubble tubes, adjustable lights, sensory play toys with a burst of colour, texture and sounds all in a secure and safe environment.

A spokesperson proudly reports the "room is tailored to be a soothing place away from the activity of a busy shop. Our aim is to cater for children and adults with different aspects of special needs. We provide a professional fitting service with a variety of shoes in different sizes and widths".

The official opening takes place May 22nd at 3.30pm.
