People Are Buying This Toy Online For Thousands Of Euro

Enthusiasts are looking for rare pieces as well as discontinued sets of the popular childhood toy.

It’s time to check your attics, rare sets of Lego are going for mad prices online.
Sets are selling for thousands of euro on eBay and other sites. Collectors aren’t just looking for rare pieces and sets though, they're also after standard ones that have been discontinued, ones that are new or ones that are hard to come by.
Even sets that are already put together and boxes of unsorted bricks are selling for big prices.
In Australia, people are going nuts for it; according to news.com.au, Lego sets have increased 89% on eBay since the debut the reality show Lego Masters.
It was revealed that the most expensive set sold on eBay went for almost $10,000. The Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon 1st Edition sold for a massive $9500 topping the list.
Coming a close second, the Star Wars Figurine C-3PO, a solid gold 14 Karat piece (not joking), sold for $8507 and Star Wars 10179 Millennium Falcon for $8475.
There is currently a The Lego Star Wars Millennium Falcon 75192 on sale on eBay for €2,900.82, and a custom Lego Model of 10 thousand brick glued of Your Idea going for €6,149.73. That’s right.
“If you’ve got unused Lego in the back of a cupboard, now’s the time to dust it off and cash in. Complete sets are where the real money lies with rare sets fetching thousands,” said eBay Australia Trendwatcher Sophie Onikul.
Or maybe you have a talented Lego sculptor in the house and now it's their time to shine.
