Mum Disciplines Her Daughters In A Supermarket And It Goes Viral

The girls aged 6 and 7 had been misbehaving during a shopping trip and their mum decided enough was enough and disciplined them after many warnings

I don't know about you but I dread grocery shopping with children. I've four kids - three them four and under so it can get a bit chaotic at times. I try to avoid bringing them at all costs or make sure I have an extra pair of hands to help god forbid there's a tantrum or one makes a run for it.
This week a post has gone viral across social media of two girls sitting on the floor of a Tesco supermarket in Derbyshire. The girls aged 6 and 7 had been misbehaving during a shopping trip and their mum decided enough was enough and disciplined them after many warnings.
Louise Palai a mum of two made her girls sit crossed legged facing the fruit and vegetables for ten minutes and were not allowed back up until they had calmed down.
Talking to The Mirror Louise said: "They were running around and in high spirits. I’d told them to calm down a couple of times but they didn’t listen.”
"They were running around the place and Ebony almost got hit by a woman’s shopping trolley. I didn’t lose my temper but I couldn’t have them behaving like that in public."
"Very quietly I went up to them, took them to a quieter area of the shop in the fruit and veg aisle and told them to sit down. They looked at each other but they didn’t argue. They sat cross-legged facing the shelves with their heads down.”
She said both understood the way the had been acting was wrong and said ‘sorry’ and hugged it out. The duo had learned their lesson and they all continued shopping.

Louise admits some people give her 'odd looks' but a majority praise her for her efforts. I for one salute this mama - children no matter what age need to know there are consequences for their actions and I think we can all agree the girls probably won't do it again.
