How To Get A Bun In The Oven With Some Fertility Tips
Congratulations if you are trying for a baby and we wish you the very best in all your efforts. Lots of couples like to know how to get a bun in the oven as quickly as possible once they have their heart set on a new baby. This is perfectly natural and sometimes it can happen quickly and in other cases, not so quickly. Here are some fertility tips to help you along the way and we wish you all the luck in the world.

Get the full health check!
It may seem silly but getting a full check-up will prepare you for your pregnancy and alert you to any problem areas that may be an issue. Once you speak to your doctor about your plans to become pregnant he/she will advise you to begin taking prenatal vitamins like folic acid to protect against birth defects like Spina Bifida. Though it could take months for you to get pregnant the prenatal vitamins won’t do any harm as they should be in your system prior to pregnancy or at the very least, at the early stages.

Your doctor can also advise you if you are on birth control and some doctors advise you to have a normal period after stopping birth control to be more accurate with dates otherwise it may be a little confusing but then it can be sorted too.

Get down and do it!
Not to be rude but to get pregnant you and your partner are going to have to “do it” and perhaps, quite a lot. Some people nearly get pregnant just looking at one another whereas others need to play for a few weeks or months. There is no way to know how long it will take and there is no such thing as a great position to help things along. However, there is some truth in lying down after sex, but you don’t need to put your legs in the air or stay like that for hours! Have sex regularly but there is no need to overdo it if it becomes more like a chore than fun – like it should be. Yes, having sex for you at the moment is to get pregnant and that may be your main goal, but no relationship needs to run like that. So, have fun and do it regularly but not too much that you begin to feel like machines!

Eat well and keep fit
Being healthy matters and though you may have your full health check done there is still plenty of other things to do including eating well. We aren’t suggesting you go mad on green foods or superfoods but having a well-balanced diet will help and your partner should follow suit too. Don’t stop being active in fear of “hurting your potential baby” and keep walking, running or cycling like you normally would. There is a case to lessen your alcohol intake and of course, there shouldn’t be any smoking while trying for a baby or afterwards.

Don’t worry and take your time
If you are weeks trying for a baby, try not to worry and carry on. If a few months pass you should probably check with your doctor again and find out more. In most cases getting pregnant takes time and there is usually nothing to worry about, but it is always good to get medical advice if you are worried.
