Family Cruising: The Kids Will Never Want To Leave This Ship

After our first family cruise a few years ago, my eyes are now open to the value and peace of mind that goes with it.

I am a huge fan of cruising... As I am sure anyone who has seen my Facebook page has already guessed!
Having experienced our first family cruise a few years ago, my eyes are now open to the value and peace of mind that goes with it.
Cruising makes for such an easy holiday; from the freedom to dine at leisure, grab cookies and milk from the buffet before bed to the excellent range of children’s facilities and kids’ clubs which allow us parents to have a holiday as well!
One of my current favourites has to be the brand-new Celebrity Edge, a game changer in the cruising industry.
As if this ship couldn’t get any better, they are now offering the first of its kind fully customisable Camp at Sea program.
With over 500 activities designed around the four pillars of programming, Art, Recreation, Culinary and S.T.E.M both you and your children will have a holiday centred around your interests.
It’s not just for the children though, if you want to get involved there are plenty of family activities to ensure you get to spend some quality family time – when you can drag them away from their new buddies.
A sticking point with our family is food. With very different tastes and a picky daughter, the range of food on-board and the fact that all diets and tastes are catered to takes the hassle out of meal times. And if you want to eat in your cabin, no problem.
There are kids’ menus on offer, so your little ones will be hard pressed not to find something to tickle their taste buds.
One of the winning things in my eyes is that their ships are all autism-friendly.
Priority check-in, sensory-friendly toys, movies and accessible cabins and ships make travelling with a child, teen or adult with special needs a whole lot less stressful knowing that they have your back.
So if you crave a holiday by the sea, top-notch cuisine, exceptional entertainment while your kids have the holiday of a lifetime, maybe a Camp at Sea cruise is for you.
