7 Laundry Hacks That Might Just Blow Your Mind...

Nothing pains me more than doing the laundry. It's easily my least favourite chore. So here are some tips from me to you in the hopes it might help your on next laundry day.
  • Tennis Balls Keep Things Soft. Rumour has it that if you add a couple of clean Tennis Balls into the dryer with blankets, pillows and bedding helps to keep them super soft.
  • Lavender Oil. You will never go back once you’ve had a whiff of fresh sheets when you have added a little lavender oil to the rinse cycle. The smell is beautiful and Lavender might even promote a better night’s sleep... *runs to Lavender wash children’s sheets immediately*
  • Baby Shampoo UNSHRINKS clothes. Now, this we have to try. Fill a bucket with lukewarm water and a capful of baby shampoo. Immerse the item of clothing into the bucket working the sudsy water through the clothing fibres. Remove the item of clothing from the bucket and gently squeeze the heavy water off of it but do not wring dry. Lay out a clean dry towel and lie the item of clothing on top of it. Roll up the towel and gently press down on it so that it gentle absorbs some of the water from the garment. It should be damp rather than wet now. Lay out another clean dry towel. Lie the damp garment on top and gently stretch the garment until it resembles it’s original shape before the shrinking happened. Leave it to air dry and it will remain in this shape and return to its former glory.
  • Speed Up Drying With A Towel. Want your laundry load to dry quicker? Toss in a large dry towel for 15-20 minutes and it will absorb some of the moisture and speed up the drying.
  • Yellow Armpit Stains Be Gone. If you mix lemon juice with baking soda and rub that paste into discolouring. Allow to sit for 20-30 mins and then wash as you normally would.
  • Chalk Removes Greece. If you have a pesky greasy stain on a garment simply rub some chalk on to the stain before washing normally and it should lift the grease and make it disappear.
  • Salt Keeps Colours Vibrant. So this is a thing. Apparently adding a little salt to the wash helps to keep colours vibrant and prevent them from running.
