20 Children Injured In Attack On Chinese Primary School
20 children have been taken to hospital following an attack on a primary school in Beijing, China.

According to reports, a 49-year-old man attacked the children outside the  Xuanwu Normal Experimental Affiliated Number One Primary School at around 11:17am local time.

Three of the children are believed to have serious but non-life threatening injuries.

It is not known what, if any, weapon was used by the attacker. However, ABC is reporting that a hammer was used by the man in question.
Thankfully, he was apprehended by the authorities at the scene and a full investigation into the attack has been launched.

It is believed that the 49-year-old was a maintenance worker at the school.

Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened at a school in China.

In 2017, a man was convicted of stabbing 12 children with a vegetable knife following a dispute with a neighbour.

And last April, nine people were killed by a former student outside a school in the northwest of the country while a car drove into a crowd of children killing five people in November.
