If you have an 18-year-old at home, this summer get them to pack their bags.
DiscoverEU is giving away 15,000 interrailing passes this summer for teens who are 18 on July 1st. The pass will allow them to travel across Europe completely free!
Applicants must be an EU citizen and willing to travel as an individual or as a group of up to 5.

The interrailing trip will start in one of the 28 EU member states between July and September 2018. The ticket can be used up to 4 times between 1 and 30 days.
The pass will allow some applicants to travel by ferry, bus and in some cases by plane when no other transport is available.
DiscoverEU is being financed from the EU budget. The European Parliament called for a budget to cover the free ticket programme. The European Commission has funded €12m for 15,000 DiscoverEU Passes this summer.
Online applications will close on June 26th. Winners will be notified in early July following a selection process by a jury of European Commission officials.

Manfred Weber, Chairman, Group of the European People's Party said:  "Getting to know your neighbours and discovering what Europe is about is so important. Europe is all about you; it's about the people who are so different and yet so similar. It's about getting to know one another. That's why Interrail is great. You get to travel all around Europe and find out how beautiful our continent is."
